Curated by Caroline Lee Liu and Tieg Harte, BOOK SHOW presents recent acquisitions to the two painters’ personal book collections, alongside found objects and other “paperweights” made by Brian “Brick” Cassidy, Jeremy Sublewski and Jeffrey Mitchell. Many of these books have been used as source material in their studios, acquired out of curiosity and often while traveling.
The collaborative drawing below served as the promotional image for the show, in addition to being the pair’s only original piece of art in the show. Caroline created a checklist for the first display case shortly after the show was taken down. It serves as the most complete documentation of the show.
